Some first impressions of the new home. All boxes have been unpacked but not everything has found its place yet. It's getting there - slowly but surely. So for now the focus is on the details, though isn't it always anyway... What I love most about the apartment are the light (from bright to gloomy), reflections and century old character. The building is from the mid-1800s so it comes with creaky floors, but also this gorgeous ceiling decoration - which can be found in a lot of "Altbau" houses here in Berlin. I can't wait to finish decorating the place; I think the combination of old-time charm & minimal design will look great. Until then a couple of trips to Ikea and online shopping for art will be on the to-do list. Ah, I know, so horrible ;-)
