As you probably know, I don't like to overthink things - well, when it comes to fashion... I am not a super minimalist per se, not in the way of stripping looks down to functional pieces, but I do believe in "less is more": in the sense of subtle details & statements. Coco Chanel advised to take at least one piece of jewellery off before leaving the house and I often do the same with my outfit. It doesn't feel right to me to wear several accessories at once or mix in more than one colour in my (mostly) monochrome looks.

For me, a beautiful ring or a mens watch can be the center of attention in an outfit, and I will pick the clothing around that. Or, in this particular case, it's the hat that gets the spotlight. And even though I usually would opt for all black, I found that my beloved 3.1 Phillip Lim loafers are the perfect match and make the grey hat stand out even more.
