Russian Roulette

I feel a bit like I am playing Russian roulette with my wardrobe. I have a selection of go-to items that I wear over and over again - which means that I'm killing off my favourites one by one in the name of overkill. But that's just real life... I (unfortunately) don't have unlimited funds and having a budget is a very real thing, especially after a move across the ocean.

There is always a pressure to keep showing different looks, but rather than going off and spending all my money on new items to wear only a few times, I try to define what pieces I reach for time after time. And reinvent ways to wear that selection. Or, grab a pair of scissors and DIY a little like I did with this pair of denim (and this one).

I always like it when others keep it real and re-wear outfits without shame. We all do. And I appreciate someone's style more when they are confident about it and just own it that they perhaps wear the same thing 3 days in a row. It is genuine, and that is what personal style is all about. You know what you like - it may be just a small selection of pieces - and you are completely cool with wearing it over and over again. And when you tire of it? You reinvent.
