Feeling a little Parisian inspired at the moment, although it has been about 6 years since my last trip to Paris (read: it's about time...). I have always loved the looks of Emmanuelle Alt & Co. - they are just the perfect example of effortless chic. They don't need to wear skimpy pieces to look sexy and interesting. And even though their uniform mostly consists of a pair of jeans + a great jacket or blazer, they always look put-together and elegant.

I find, the key to a great look is to not overthink it and go with your gut instinct. Every time I do that, I end up with a new favourite look and the most compliments. Whereas in the past, I tried to constantly "up my game" and try to make it overly interesting, and most of the time, the outfit ended up not feeling & looking like 'me'. Lesson learned: stay true to what feels right, don't overcomplicate things and know that style is not just about the actual outfit, but also about being yourself and feeling confident in what you're wearing. Which is sometimes, of course, easier said than done...

But that's the fun thing about personal style: you define & re-define and it always changes.
